#World21Future

During the pandemic, Dr Urs Hauenstein developed a project called “World21Future”.

Some initial thoughts on the project’s scope:

  • The world should come together again in the post-pandemic period and become aware of its responsibility.
  • The exchange and cooperation of creativity between different cultures, age groups, but also the integration of marginalized groups into a great togetherness are urgently required again after this global blockade.
  • Together, we will rediscover our roots / rhizomes, and shape the future. The project is being developed at various levels, and initial discussions have already taken place. The planned levels are: economy and management, education and pedagogy, social affairs and politics, sustainability and ecology, but also art(s).

The necessary implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for transforming the world as a holistic and inclusive approach is an important basis for further work and offered as reference the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN (2015).

The International Council for Education and Management ICEM has started research exchange meetings. From them some suggestions for learning for the future are made:

  • We all have to ask ourselves what is a good world for us in the future?
  • How can we improve corporate behaviour in the world at government level as well as, in the management of NGOs or organizations?
  • What is good citizenship and how do we get it?
  • How can we work to strengthen real peace in all processes worldwide, and
  • How can we eradicate poverty?

For #CArtsCon2021, the project’s artistic side will be developed online over the next
few months. Dr Urs Hauenstein is looking for interested arts partners for the project.
The project will be developed through Zoom meetings.

Participants will present in Canterbury (hybrid) or only online (belongs to the Covid-19
situation in the world), together, during the conference.
