The Kent Arts Conference (KArtsCon) began life as the Warnborough College Conference on the Arts (WCCA) as a conference for Warnborough College students, graduates and faculty to present their papers and research. The success of the event has allowed it to grow, with participants coming from different countries and backgrounds.
The definition of ‘arts’ grew with each conference. Apart from fine arts and art history during the conference’s inception in 2013, 2014 saw the inclusion of film while 2015 brought in music, dance and theatre. It was renamed the Canterbury Arts Conference (CArtsCon) in 2016.
In 2022, at the behest of our partner, The Halpern Charitable Foundation, we decided not to limit events to Canterbury. We renamed as the Kent Arts Conference (KArtsCon) and our first KArtsCon was held in the beautiful and historic town of Rochester. Subsequent conferences have been held within the Historic Dockyard Chatham.
KArtsCon brings visitors from around the world together to share and co-create knowledge and experiences, to network and make lifelong friends. KArtsCon is funded and organised by the Warnborough Foundation CIO, a charity set up to help disadvantaged communities through education and the arts. We welcome sponsors, funders and volunteers.
*All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Putting such an exciting event naturally takes up a lot of resources. The Warnborough Foundation is only a small charity with limited people. We are always looking for people to help us grow the event but to keep the same friendly family-like atmosphere. If you would like to help out, please click the button for more information.
