I am an artist based in Canterbury, specialising in painting and drawing. I have been interested in art since early childhood, so when I left school, I went to the University for the Creative Arts to do a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. However, I did a degree in animal science instead of studying art at university. After graduating in 2019, I could begin a regular art practice, involving oil painting and drawing. The subject matter in my work typically includes portraits, nature, and music, paying close attention to colour and light.
Live at Bramley’s
I will present a collection of my sketches from various live music events where the influence of music creates unexpected results. I never know who I will be drawing, and I try to be spontaneous. I usually would only have about 15 minutes to sketch each musician.
