Jeremy Clarke is Education Officer for Medway Council’s Heritage Team. He trained as an English teacher and has been working for museums in London and the Southeast for 30 years. Most of his work today involves engaging with local schools to help children understand and enjoy the history and culture of Medway. He has a PhD from the University of Kent, in which he looked at how the work of Charles Dickens seems to have escaped into the real world.
