We are very sad to announce that regular KArtsCon presenter Dr Datiri Yohanna Chumang passed away early this morning.
He first attended our conference in 2014 introducing the historical pots of the Ngas people in Nigeria, and asking what can be done to preserve culture in today’s society.
He returned in 2015 and was also scheduled to attend in 2017 before the conference was cancelled.
Dr Chumang was the consummate gentleman, always with a kind spirit and a quick smile. We shall always remember him.
Our deepest sympathies are with his wife and loved ones. #RIP
