E-Conference Presenter: Victor Matthews

Victor Matthews – a/k/a Chef Matthews

Dr Victor Matthews has a great interest in creative writing. His earliest work was a poem entitled The Rose (written when he was five-years-old) and his most recent work—written forty-two years later—is a look at Angels in a “new” sub-genre of Fantasy Fiction that is Biblically sound. In Victor’s world–all roads lead to Theology.

Victor holds degrees in Writing, Theology, and Education. Also known as Chef Matthews, Victor founded a culinary school fifteen years ago! He was a full-time chef for thirty-three years. He is now the dean of an elite, private culinary school and the founder of an artisan distillery.

Victor’s program for #CArtseCon2020 will be:

Fifth Generation Sanitizer Maker?

Learn how a Master Distiller used his creative skills to protect the lives of First Responders and eventually two whole counties in Colorado.  It all started just days after the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis.  Long before anyone was talking about distilleries, but right after all stores and suppliers ran out of hand sanitizer.  I was talking to the fire chief and he said they were down to just part of one bottle.  So, the Black Bear Distillery sprang into action and we used our experience to create a new recipe with things that were available, eventually producing over 50 gallons, enough for all the county, fire, EMT, pharmacy, and medical personnel in a wide region.

Don’t miss this fascinating event at #CArtseCon2020!
